YES!
They are two completely different products, although they both come from olives:
Extra virgin olive oil is a natural product, it is a pure olive juice from which the vegetation water and the ‘solid’ part (pulp and stone) of the fruit is removed.
Nothing else!
Olive oil, on the other hand, is an industrial product obtained by the (chemical) refining of bad oils to remove their defects.
These ‘refined’ oils, by the adding of minute quantities of virgin oils, became edible and marketable.
