Territory
“Terre Tarentine” extra virgin olive oil production area embraces the territories that run from the Jonian Sea through the gorges of “gravine” canyons and up the Murge hills of central Apulia. Here the climate is mild, intoxicated by the breeze blowing in from the gulf, while to the north the hills act as a natural protection for the deep, vermilion soils that give the crops typical and irreproducible quality qualities.
Production
The olive trees of Leccino, Coratina, Ogliarola and Frantoio varieties cultivated here give unmistakable attributes to P.D.O. oil production: they have a very ancient genetic heritage enriched by the Mediterranean climate that stimulates the production of polyphenols that characterise the taste. The extra virgin oil becomes a journey that tells of authentic territories and a sea that, between history and legend, is a cradle of wonders.
A decoration in lace that evokes handmade lace doilies; and refers to the Romanesque rose windows of many churches, but in the original Apulian variant. The ancient art of working yarns and decorating the stone, wisely and creatively. In apulian style!
